Love doves! How are you guys?! I’m so sorry I’ve been missing in action! Wife life, mom life, life! How was your Summer? What did you do with the kids? I can’t believe they are back in school!
Ours was bitter sweet. I lost my beloved grand mom. Sigh…It has been so difficult. She was truly my rock. When you have so many roles it’s challenging to simply go on, and to adjust to new realities. But the Lord has been my strength. And I am thankful for family and good friends.
We had family over from England at our home and it was truly heartfelt, much needed, and simply beautiful.
So when they came, at first I was a tad bit intimidated with regard to my groceries and the food choices we make. Because at times people tend to judge, misunderstand, and just react negatively to what they do not understand, or what’s deemed as different.
Sorry I went off a bit lol! But it was refreshing to see them just enjoy the foods we prepared! They asked so many questions on ingredients, things we had in our pantry, and our overall lifestyle.
And I was truly so elated to just share! There are a plethora of resources out there if you choose to make healthy and happy your lifestyle. And we always say in our home that healthy food can taste good too!
Don’t be afraid to explore, try new things, and just learn. My family and I have been tweaking and adding things to our diet (the foods we eat on a daily basis) for quite some time.
It’s fun and you feel so much better overall. So with all of that being said (sorry I know I went a bit off), I wanted to share my grocery list- the foods I buy. Things are ever changing, but I also have some staples as well.
This is part 1 because I want to share more as I discover and explore more as well. I hope you enjoy!
Remember to always do what works best for you, choose joy, eat foods that will nourish your body, engage in some form of physical activity, and educate yourself. You don’t need a PHD to simply do some research:)
Ok so I’m going to try and break this down by categories! Let’s dive in. I try to buy organic, non gmo, vegan, and gluten free items as best as I possibly can. Supporting your local farmers is an excellent choice as well!

Healthy Grocery List
Steel cut oatmeal
Organic/ gluten free pancake & waffle mix
Quinoa pasta/ brown rice pasta/ garbanzo bean pasta
Beans (split peas, lentils, red beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, black beans)
If you can find fish and chicken that are not contaminated (no chemicals, Non GMO, no infections, and raised in healthy living conditions), feel free to incorporate those as well. But try to limit your intake as best as you can.
I am personally trying the plant protein route. But again do what works best for you.
Locally Grown is the best!
Red and green apples
Grape seed oil
Himalayan pink salt
Ginger & chamomile
Ginger & lemon
Water (7.5 Ph or higher/ Bpa free bottle) It’s best to get a filter though
Sweet potato chips
Multigrain chia and quinoa chips
