Ok so let’s get ready to rumble! I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with the Fly Guy himself, celebrity stylist Corey Roche’. He is one of the stylists on The Real , and his work is pretty amazing!!! He told me that his love for fashion started from a very tender age. What really stuck out the most during our interview, was when he mentioned the bond between him and his family. He is originally from Michigan, but lives in LA for the taping of the show. He also left me with some great words of wisdom: Follow your dreams, be persistent, and go for what you want! Simple, yet very profound! You can see more of his work displayed on the lovely Tamera Mowry, who happens to be on our “favorite mommy list”. And be sure to check out the show as well.
I told him my dilemma with trying to find different looks for all these Holiday parties that I have to attend, and I also wanted to ensure that I’m still cute on those casual Holiday days as well. Lol! But now my panic is over. Because he helped me tremendously by creating these super sheik mood boards! So I decided to spread the love. Here are some Holiday looks courtesy one of my favorite stylists, Corey Roche. You can also check him out on Instagram for some more inspiration.
1. The Casual look:
The holiday season is busy so when you’re out running errands you can still be comfy yet chic! First start with a dark denim, this is the new slacks in a sense .Because they can be dressed up or down. Add a printed top underneath a jacket, next is your pop of color especially if going with a flat to add edge. The holidays are a great time to use sparkle so don’t be afraid to accessorize with bright “bling”!
2. After 7:
The holidays brings along a season full of special events and occasions so here is a great after 7 look that will definitely turn heads! Again don’t be afraid of a bit of shimmer to help spread the holiday cheer. Color blocking and peplums are always great camouflages for the weight gain during the this time as well. Pair your frock with a strappy stiletto for simple elegance and chandelier earrings. You can also use a3. small clutch to accessorize.
3. Bare essentials:
The items below are must haves for the holidays in every woman’s closet! A little black dress4 and fun, shimmering accessories.
4. Go to looks:
Jumpers, rompers and midi a line pieces will be your best friend during the holidays so make sure your basis are covered!
We hope you enjoyed these looks. And a special thank you again to my friend Mr. Corey Roche. Now we could all look fly for The Holidays:) Which look was your favorite?
